Care4life Healthcare Services Ltd is an emerging dynamic business where we pace ourselves to ensure that high- quality individualized person-centred care that is tailored to meet the needs of children and young people is delivered without the pressures that are faced by larger organizations.

Our service was established with the purpose of delivering bespoke client-centred services by offering targeted and sustainable accommodation and support services for vulnerable young people. Our client group includes:

Care Leavers
Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children
Young people with a history of offending behaviour
Young people with challenging behaviour and complex needs
Young People at risk of Sexual Exploitation
Young People with Learning Disabilities
Young Mothers and babies

We also provide specialised care for young people with challenging behaviour and/or emotional needs in semi-independent and 24-hour supervised housing settings. Our services are provided in accordance with the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and the children acts 1989 and 2004 (and additionally, any relevant government and/or statutory regulations and guidance).

We pay particular attention to the voice of the young person understanding their needs to ensure that they have the best accommodation and support to ensure that young people achieve their goals and aspirations and have better outcomes in life. Our service is underpinned by the UN convention on the Rights of the Child, and we also work towards helping young people to ‘Achieve More’ and strongly agree with the Department of Health (2003) policy that indeed ‘Every Child Matters’ and deserve the right to have the appropriate support to be able to:

At Care4Life Healthcare Services we do not only focus on the physical health needs of our clients, but we also believe in providing quality holistic patient centred care. We strongly agree with the World Health Organization (1948) perspective of the broader definition of ‘health’ as a “state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Therefore, we give person centred care that takes into account the needs of every individual ensuring that they receive the best quality care, enjoying optimum health, enjoying and achieving, leading meaningful lives as much as is permissible despite their disabilities or changing needs.

All young people have a fundamental right to be treated as a unique individual, irrespective of race, religion, gender, culture, language, ability, sexuality or social disadvantages & have the right to develop their personal and educational potential to the fullest, have the responsibility to contribute to society through positive citizenship and achieve economic wellbeing being fully involved in society. Young people are most likely to realise these goals if they are treated with respect and dignity and there is a strong foundation of trust.

Our Ethos and Values

We firmly believe that every child has the fundamental right to be supported into a successful transition from childhood to adulthood, irrespective of their background or circumstances. This support must be focused and dynamic to respond effectively to our young people’s changing needs.

Aims and Objectives

Our Semi-independent Supported Accommodation services offers a 24-hour supervised accommodation and support delivered by competent committed staff in a safe, appropriately structured and caring environment. We provide a bespoke individualised person centred service that matches individual needs of the young person, listening to ‘the voice of the child’ and designing support around the needs of young people thereby delivering an excellent service achieving best possible outcomes for our young people.

Quality Assurance

We also ensure that our systems effectively monitor, evaluate and disseminate outcomes for all children and young people in our care using specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) that help us to articulate clearly the desired outcomes for children and young people setting out targets and improvement objectives for achieving successful outcomes are being achieved.

We regularly review our young people’s individual support plans, and the review process involves the young person listening to their voice including the relevant professionals, ensuring that all previously identified needs are being met and any newly identified needs or changes in circumstances are taken into account when revising the care plan. Young people and other people using our service also provide consultation to our organisation through the feedback process.

We follow a robust Safer Recruitment policy and have well trained competent and experienced staff who have a passion to care and pride themselves in giving high standards of care, including managing challenging behaviours and complex needs. Throughout the year, employees attend a wide range of training and personal development courses to equip them to work effectively and professionally with our service users. This also ensures that we maintain good practice and keep up to date with key policies and procedures.

Policies and Procedures

We have a robust and comprehensive set of policies and procedures that support best practice and legislative requirements. Our HR department are responsible for reviewing polices annually to ensure consistency and relevance.

Insurance Cover

Our staff members are fully insured through our Employers Liability Insurance and full Public Liability Insurance cover which is commensurate with the level and extent of the activities undertaken.

Out of Hours Service

We have an Out of Hours service and all employees and young people are able to contact management 24/7hours as there is an On Call Duty Staff member daily. On-call members of staff are available to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Complaints and Compliments

Care4Life Healthcare Services welcome client and staff feedback, any comments and recommendations. We use a quality assurance questionnaire is distributed every 3months and the findings are used to monitor our standards of care. Information collated is also used as evidence of care provision improvement to the local authority, Care Quality Commission and other relevant regulatory bodies.

Feedback is listened to, recorded and responded to as appropriate. We also effectively analyse the data and use it to drive improvements to the quality and safety of services being offered by Care4Life Healthcare Service.
